My name is David Barone and I've worked professionally in the software industry since 1996. In that time I've worked in a number of independant software vendors and consultancies both in the UK and in Australia, and have developed a number of business and financial systems for some of the largest companies in both countries.

I've worked extensively with the Microsoft stack and have used .NET since 2001. Recently, I've begun developing in Ruby on Rails, as this fits very well with my ASP.NET MVC knowledge.

Currently I work for a regional IT firm developing .NET solutions for a number of clients around the Newcastle area. Most of my working day, I'm coding C#. I'm constantly trying to produce better designed solutions, and am a big fan of design patterns, open source tools, frameworks and ALT.NET
